Today I will explain how to create transition by using track matte!

Let’s start!

Press Ctrl + I to import the file

Click this button to create a new composition

Or pressing Ctrl + N

Change the composition name to [Search Comp]

Change the duration to [0;00;07;00]

Click OK

Press Ctrl + T to switch to the type tool

Change Font Settings

Change the fill color to [FDDE4E]

Click OK

Press Ctrl + Alt + Home to center the anchor point to the middle of the object

Change the value of Position property to [985,400]

Press Q 1 time to switch the rectangle tool

Press Ctrl + Alt + Home to center the anchor point to the middle of the object

Rename to [text’s mask]

Press P to display only the position

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;00;20]

Create a keyframe at [Position] property

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;00;04]

Change the value of the [Position] property to [-540]

Select this footage

Drag and Drop to the Timeline panel

Press S to display only the Scale

Change the value of the [Scale] property to [45]

Change the value of the [Position] property to [245,445]

Click this listbox and select layer [text’s mask] you want to link parent

Change Track Matte to [Alpha Matte]

Press Ctrl + T to switch to the type tool

Change Font Settings

Change the fill color to [FDDE4E]

Click OK

Change the stroke color to [CAC9C8]

Click OK

Press Ctrl + Alt + Home to center the anchor point to the middle of the object

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;00;22]

Press P to display only the position

Create a keyframe at [Position] property

Change the value of the [Position] property to [1060,405]

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;01;00]

Change the value of the [Position] property to [1060,570]

Press Q 1 time to switch the rectangle tool

Change Track Matte to [alpha inverted matte]

Create a new composition by pressing Ctrl + N

Change the composition name to [Beach Comp]

Click [Layer] on the menu bar

Select [New]

and Select [Adjustment Layer] to create an Adjustment Layer

Enter [Turbulent Displace] effect in the Effects/Presets search box

Press Enter key to apply the effect

Change the value of the [Size] property to [200]

Create a keyframe at [Amount] property

Create a keyframe at [Evolution] property

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;00;00]

Change the value of the [Amount] property to [-50]

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;00;20]

Change the value of the [Amount] property to [3]

Change the value of the [Evolution] property to [2]

Enter [CC Lens] effect in the Effects/Presets search box

Press Enter key to apply the effect

Create a keyframe at [Size] property

Create a keyframe at [Convergence] property

Change the value of the [Size] property to [100]

Change the value of the [Convergence] property to [20]

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;00;00]

Change the value of the [Size] property to [0]

Change the value of the [Convergence] property to [70]

Press Ctrl + 0 to show the Project panel

Select this footage

Drag and Drop to the Timeline panel

Create a new composition by pressing Ctrl + N

Change the composition name to [Autumn Comp]

Press the , (comma) key to zoom out the composition panel

Press Q 1 time to switch the rectangle tool

Press Ctrl + D to duplicate [Retangle 1]

Search for [Position] in the search box

Create a keyframe at [Position] property

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;00;08]

Change the value of the [Position] property to [0,355]

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;00;16]

Change the value of the [Position] property to [0,-25]

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;00;24]

Change the value of the [Position] property to [0,-380]

Select this footage

Drag and Drop to the Timeline panel

Change Track Matte to [Alpha Matte]

Click [Layer] on the menu bar

Select [New]

and Select [Adjustment Layer] to create an Adjustment Layer

Enter [Curves] effect in the Effects/Presets search box

Double click to apply the effect

Click on [Channel] list box then select [Red]

Press Q 1 time to switch the rectangle tool

Press Ctrl + D to duplicate [Retangle 1]

Search for [Position] in the search box

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;00;24]

Create a keyframe at [Position] property

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;01;00]

Change the value of the [Position] property to [835,-2]

Change the value of the [Position] property to [355,-2]

Change the value of the [Position] property to [-125,-2]

Change the value of the [Position] property to [-595,-2]

Change Track Matte to [Alpha Matte]

Press Shift + / key to set screen fit with the composition panel

Create a new composition by pressing Ctrl + N

Change the composition name to [Brush Comp]

Press Ctrl + 0 to show the Project panel

Select this footage

Drag and Drop to the Timeline panel

Enter [Linear Wipe] effect in the Effects/Presets search box

Double click to apply the effect

Change the value of the [Wipe Angle] property to [87]

Change the value of the [Feather] property to [20]

Change the value of the [Transition Completion] property to [100]

Create a keyframe at [Transition Completion] property

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;00;10]

Change the value of the [Transition Completion] property to [0]

Press Ctrl + D to duplicate [05 brush stroke] layer

Press Alt + Shift + PageDown keys 1 time to move the selected layer

Change the value of the [Wipe Angle] property to [279]

Press Ctrl + D to duplicate [05 brush stroke.png]

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;00;20]

Press Alt + Shift + PageDown keys 1 time to move the selected layer

Change the value of the [Wipe Angle] property to [85]

Press Ctrl + D to duplicate [05 brush stroke.png]

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;01;00]

Press Alt + Shift + PageDown keys 1 time to move the selected layer

Change the value of the [Wipe Angle] property to [280]

Press Shift + [‘P’, ‘S’] to display multiple properties

Change the value of the [Position] property to [1000,718]

Change the value of the [Scale] property to [134,50]

Change the value of the [Position] property to [940,580]

Change the value of the [Scale] property to [220,84]

Change the value of the [Position] property to [993,434]

Change the value of the [Scale] property to [150,70]

Change the value of the [Position] property to [1200,330]

Change the value of the [Scale] property to [150,50]

Press Ctrl + Y to create a new Solid Layer

And rename layer to [black]

Change the Color

Click OK

Press Ctrl + Shift + [ key to move the selected layer to the Bottom

Press Ctrl + C to copy [Linear Wipe] effect

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;01;10]

Press Ctrl + V to paste here

Change the value of the [Feather] property to [1000]

Create a new composition by pressing Ctrl + N

Change the composition name to [Main Comp]

Press Ctrl + 0 to show the Project panel

Select this footage

Drag and Drop to the Timeline panel

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;01;20]

Press the Alt + ] key to trim the Inpoint of the selected layer to the indicated position

Select this footage

Drag and Drop to the Timeline panel

Select this footage

Drag and Drop to the Timeline panel

Change Track Matte to [Alpha Matte]

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;04;20]

Press the [ key to move the Outpoint of the selected layer to the indicated position

Select this footage

Drag and Drop to the Timeline panel

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;02;20]

Press the [ key to move the Outpoint of the selected layer to the indicated position

Select this footage

Drag and Drop to the Timeline panel

Press Alt + Shift + J to move the indicator to [0;00;01;00]

Press the [ key to move the Outpoint of the selected layer to the indicated position

Press Ctrl + Y to create a new Solid Layer

And rename layer to [Background]

Change the Color

Click OK

Press Ctrl + Shift + [ key to move the selected layer to the Bottom

Press the Home key to move the indicator to 0

Press Spacebar to preview
