Hello everyone!

I’m Ayana, a Vtuber!

Let’s begin!

Let’s start!

Move objects

To move an object using the keyboard, Select the object and press the G key on the keyboard to move the object freely.

You can also move an object only in the X-axis direction by pressing the G key and then the X key.

You can move an object only in the Y-axis direction by pressing the G key and then the Y key.

If you press the G key and then the Z key, you can move the object only in the Z-axis direction.

Move object only in XY axis direction

Next, try moving the object only in the XY axis direction.

You can move an object only in the XY axes by selecting the object, pressing the G key on your keyboard, and then pressing Shift + Z.

Rotate the object

To rotate an object using the keyboard, You can rotate the object with respect to the current viewpoint by selecting the object and pressing the R key on the keyboard.

You can also rotate an object relative to the X, Y, and Z axes by pressing the R, then the X, Y, and Z keys, respectively.

You can freely rotate the object 360 ° by pressing the R key and then the R key.

Object scaling

To scale an object using the keyboard Select the object and press the S key on the keyboard to scale it while preserving the aspect ratio.

You can also scale an object in the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis directions by pressing the S key and then the X, Y, and Z keys, respectively.

Fine-tune the operation of objects

When you use the keyboard to move, rotate, or scale an object, you can press the Shift key to fine-tune the operation while holding it down.

Specify the operation of the object numerically

If you specify the operation of the object numerically, you can operate the object accurately.

Enlarge by specifying a numerical value

You can double the size of an object by selecting it and pressing the “S key → 2 key→ Enter key” on the keyboard in that order.

Rotate by specifying a numerical value

You can rotate an object by 45 ° with respect to the X-axis by selecting the object and pressing the “R key-> X key-> 45-> Enter key” on the keyboard in that order.

Specify a numerical value and move by 2m in the X-axis direction

Select an object and press “G key-> X key-> 2-> Tab key-> 2-> Tab key-> 2-> Enter key” on the keyboard to move the object by 2m in the X-axis direction.

Specify a numerical value and move in order of X-axis, Y-axis, Z-axis

Select an object and press “G key → 3 → Tab key → 3 → Tab key → 3 → Enter key” on the keyboard in order to move the object in 3m increments in the X-axis, Y-axis, and Z-axis directions.

Undo the operation of the object

Next, I will explain how to undo the operation of the object.

If you select an object and press the G key on your keyboard to move the object, you can press Alt + G to return it to its original position.

Similarly, an object rotated by pressing the R key on the keyboard can be returned to the state before rotation by pressing Alt + R keys.

Objects that have been scaled by pressing the S key on the keyboard can be restored to their original size by pressing Alt + S.

Manipulate objects from the transform in the sidebar

Next, I will explain how to operate objects from the transform in the sidebar.

Click this button at the top right of the 3D view or press the N key on your keyboard to bring up the sidebar and adjust transform.

You can manipulate objects in this way by changing their position, rotation, scale, and dimensions.

This is the end of the lecture on how to move, rotate, and scale an object with the keyboard!
