I’m Ayana, a Vtuber!
Today, I will explain how to use Track Camera !
After Effects has a function called Tracking. Tracking allows you to analyze the movement of objects and combine other materials matching the movement.
There are two methods of analysis: Track Motion that analyzes two-dimensional movements, and Track Camera that analyze three-dimensional movements.
Here we will use Track Camera to analyze 3D movements!
Place the video material on the timeline like this.
If you want to analyze images with three-dimensional movements, you need analyze them with Track Camera. Its basic operation flow is the same as Track Motion.
Select the layer of the video you want to analyze and open the Tracker panel.
Click the Track Camera button to start the analysis.
When the analysis is complete, the Composition panel will be displayed like this. Each of the x marks is a track point.
In the Timeline panel, move the playhead to find the appropriate frame to combine.
If you move your cursor between trackpoints, you will see a red circlar plane called Target.
In Track Motion, Target is displayed as a point, but in Track Camera, it is displayed as a plane.
Create Text and Camera
This time, I will try to combine the text with the movement of the target. Right-click on the target and select Create Text and Camera from the menu.
Then 3D tracker camera layer and text layer will be created in the Timeline panel.
Let’s change the text content and font design.
We can make detailed adjustments from the Transform properties. Rotation is performed with the properties of X Rotation, Y Rotation, and Z Rotation.
This is the end of the lecture on how to use Track Camera！
