I’m Ayana, a Vtuber!
Today, I will explain how to use Track Matte !
This time, we will introduce how to combine layers using Alpha channel and brightness of other layers. A layer that is not used for direct combination, but uses only Alpha channel and brightness information is called a track matte.
Combine by Alpha channel of Track matte
These three layers are used to combine track matte.
This is the track matte layer. Here we will use the text layer as a material with alpha channel.
This time, we will use the black solid layer with the effect of Fractal Noise as combining layer.
Apply Fractal Noise to the solid layer and set animation to the Evolution property.
I will cut out this layer with the Alpha channel of the track matte.
Make sure to place this solid layer underneath the track matte layer.
This layer is used for combination. I will use this as a background.
Now, I’ll assign the Text layer to the Track matte!
In the Timeline panel, from Track matte of the solid layer -> select Alpha Matte Track Matte.
The Fractal-noise solid layer has been cut out according to the Alpha channel of the track matte. The combination using track matte is now complete!
Apply Layer Styles to make text easier to see.
From Layer tab on the menu bar ->select Layer Styles , and then select Drop Shadow and Stroke.
Layer styles have been applied!
This is the end of the lecture on how to use Track matte!
