I’m Ayana, a Vtuber!
Today, I will explain how to import Illustrator files into After Effects.
After Effects has a close connection with Illustrator, as they are both Adobe products, so you can easily select and import vector layers created in Illustrator, into After Effects.
Import Illustrator File
From File -> Import and then select the files you want to import.
①When the Import File box appears, select the illustrator file you want to import.
②Click the Import button.
A dialog box like this will be displayed to set the type of importing and how to import the layer.
Click [Choose layer] here to select the layer you want to import from the list of layers displayed.
After selecting the layer, click OK.
The illustrator file has been imported into the project panel.
Import with Document Size
Next, we’ll explain how to select document size!
In the menu bar, click File -> Import and click the files you want to import.
Where it says Footage Dimensions, if you select Document size, you can import the document to the size set in the Illustrator document settings. If you want to import the file with the same size as set in Illustrator, please select here.
This concludes my explanation on how to import Illustrator files into After Effects.
