Hello everyone!

I’m Ayana, a Vtuber!

Today, I will explain Composition.

Let’s begin!

Let’s start!

Composition is like a box for composing a movie, and you can set things such as the size of the movie you want to create.

Preview the edited footage in the composition panel and how it is exported!

Create Composition

In the Composition Panel, when you select New Composition, the Composition Settings dialog box will appear.

The composition you created appears on the tabs in the composition panel.

Composition Panel Features and Descriptions

At the bottom of the composition panel, menus and icons with a variety of functions are prepared to work with.

Let’s take a look at them one by one!

①This is the Maginification ratio popup where the current magnification is displayed and you can click here to change the magnification. If you select [Fit], the screen will be full. You can also change the magnification ratio by rolling the mouse.

②These are the Choose Grid and Guide options.. Click the Choose Grid and Guide option button to display grid, guide or ruler, etc. on the composition panel. Used to edit while checking detailed numbers or to align layers to the grid.

③If you click the [Toggle Mask and Shape Path Visibility] button, you can display or hide the Mask and Shape Path.

①Preview time displays the current playback head location by time. When you click here to specify a time, the playback head will move to that time.

②This is the Take Snapshot button. If you click this button, you can screen capture the current composition panel as a still image. This is temporary and will be overwritten if you press it again, and will be cleared if you exit After Effects.

③This is the Show Snapshot button. You can view the screen-captured still images by clicking it. This is used to check the position of layers of different frames when creating animations.

①The [Show Channel and Color Management Settings] button allows you to switch the display on the composition panel to RGB or Alpha channel and to set color management settings.

②Click Resolution to select the image quality. The higher the image quality, the clearer the preview screen you can view while editing, but because of the strain on your computer, you should lower the image quality depending on the performance of your computer.

③[Region of Interest] button allows you to preview only the part where you set the target range on the composition panel. This helps reduce the load on the PC for preview.TTo set a target range, hold click the [Region of Interest] button and drag it over the composition panel to specify the target range.

① When you click the [Toggle Transparency Grid] button, the black area on the composition panel will be displayed as a transparent black and white grid.

②Click the [3D View popup] button to display the composition panel from a different angle when using the camera layer.

③If you click [Select View Layout], you can divide the screen and check the layout from multiple angles.

①The [Reset Exposure] button allows you to display or hide the exposure on the composition panel after you have changed the exposure.

②You can adjust the exposure by dragging [Adjust Exposure] button or changing the number. However, this exposure is only checked on the composition panel and is not outputed during actual rendering.

This concludes the explanation of the Composition Panel!
