Hello everyone!

I’m Ayana, a Vtuber!

Today, I will explain about the keyframe temporal interpolation method

Let’s begin!

Let’s start!

There are various ways to interpolate values between two keyframes. Normally, the value between two keyframes changes linearly at a constant rate. This interpolation method is called “linear”.

However, this may be unnatural, so other interpolation methods can be applied.

How to read key frames

How to read key frames

① Click this button in the effect control panel. Then, the right keyframe display area is expanded vertically.

The graph above shows the transition of the effect value.

The graph below shows the rate of change.

②You can enlarge/reduce the display by dragging this button. Let’s make adjustments for easy editing!

Various interpolation methods

Let’s apply various interpolation methods!

① Right click on the keyframe

② Select Bezier

In this way, the left and right change curves of the keyframe can be adjusted individually by operating the handle.

Auto Bezier

① Right-click on the keyframe.

② Select automatic Bezier.

The curves to the left and right of the keyframe will automatically become smooth. If you make a change, it will switch to “Continuous Bezier”.

Continuous Bezier

This is “Continuous Bezier”.

When you operate the handle on one side of the keyframe, “Continuous Bezier” will follow the handle on the other side.

On the other hand, “Bezier” can adjust each handle individually.

Let’s keep the difference between “Bezier”, “Automatic Bezier” and “Continuous Bezier”!

This is a “Hold”. It stays at the value of the previous keyframe until the next keyframe.

The change amount is 0 because it is stopped.

Ease In/ Ease out

This is what happens when you select Ease In or Ease Out. The change curve is smoothed between keyframes.

This concludes the explanation of the key frame temporal interpolation method!
